Bereavement Counselor

We are seeking a Bereavement Counselor to join our team making a difference in the lives of children, adults and families navigating grief and loss.

This position is responsible for working closely with Bereavement staff and volunteers in providing  bereavement services.  These services are provided to the families of Hospice patients as well as to members of the community throughout Lake County.  The Bereavement Counselor will assess potential support group participants, facilitate bereavement support groups, and provide short-term grief and loss counseling as appropriate.

The successful candidate will also serve as the lead in implementing the Wings of Hope school based counseling program and organizing our one and three day family camps.

A Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field or the equivalent in experience and education is required.  Driver’s license, reliable transportation, drug screening and background check will be required.
